Buford Mason Hall

Buford Mason Hall, age 89 of Springville, VA died Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Salem Veteran’s Hospital in Salem, VA. He was born June 5, 1932 in Thompson Valley, VA and was a son of the late James Arthur and Molly Medley Hall. Buford was a retired Truck Driver, having worked for McQuails Furniture in Bluefield, WV for over thirty years. Mr. Hall was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed studying the Bible and listening to Blue Grass Music; he was an avid Bill Monroe Fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Onita Leedy Hall; one daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Sue Hayes; an infant son, Ronald Duane Hall; five sisters, Linda McGuire, Oma K. Spradlin, Pansy Wright, Millie Moody and an infant sister, Shirley Hall; one brother, Alvin Hall. Those who survive to cherish his memory include one son, Michael T. Hall of Springville, VA; one daughter, Jennifer Leigh Hall White and husband, Chris of Tazewell, VA; one brother, Jerry Hall of Springville, VA; seven grandchildren, Steven Hayes and wife, Cathy of Bluefield, VA, Marissa Hayes LeLievre and husband, Matthew of Rock Hill, SC, Sara Groseclose and husband, Matt of Bristol, VA, Adam White and fiancée, Allison Akers and Nicholas White, both of Christiansburg, VA, Ethan Hall and Logan Hall, both of Wilmington, NC; two great-grandchildren, Jase and Nola Groseclose of Bristol, VA; three step-great-grandchildren, William Anthony Hunt of Tazewell, VA, Siaka Lelievre and Alissa Lelievre, both of Rock Hill, SC; son-in-law, Ronald “Ronnie” Hayes of Bluefield, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive. Funeral Services for Buford Mason Hall will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with Pastor Chris White officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
