Darlene Sue Case

A force of nature encompassing the spirit of kindness, generosity, and gratitude, Darlene Sue Case shared her life journey with her husband, Don. Born on June 29, 1945, in Honaker, VA, she was the daughter of Virginia Cox Street, and raised by her grandparents, Flora, and Nathan Cox in Richlands, Va. Darlene was a caring devoted Christian, wife, mother, and friend to many. Her legacy will be her testimony of Jesus and the many ways he worked in her life. She exemplified the teaching of Christ through her generosity and keeping God as the cornerstone in all that she pursued. There are countless people that Darlene has touched in her life here on earth. She has now sat down her yoke and sits in the presence of our Heavenly Father, rejoicing in His name. She is survived by: Husband, Donald L. Case of Cedar Bluff, VA Daughter and son-in-law, Donna Farrell and Martin Farrell of Blountville, TN Sister, Linda Jackson of Cedar Bluff, VA Sister, Ginger Mullins of Richlands, VA Brother-in-law, Newton Case of Midlothian, VA Brother-in-law, Thomas Case of Richlands, VA Sister-in-law, Sue Rutherford of Clarksville, TN Darlene enjoyed the love and companionship of a multitude of family members and friends. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, August 25, 2023 at 10am at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum #4 at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Entombment will follow. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Newton Case, Thomas Case, Bobby Damron, Martin Farrell, Paul Lee “PJ” Shortt, Jr, and Cloyd “Sonny” Clifton, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Darlene Case Memorial Endowed Scholarship at Northeast State Community College.
