Diane H. Jackson

Diane H. Jackson, age 57, of Richlands, Virginia passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Kentucky and raised in War, West Virginia; she was the daughter of Joe B. and Goldie Marie Brewster Harman. Diane was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother; she spent her life caring for her family and home and she had most of her life in the Richlands area. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Brewster; brother, Mitch Harman; half brother, Burlin Harman; and one step-great-grandchild, Gavin Ryan Justice. Those who survive Diane are: Her loving husband, Ira D. Jackson, Sr. of Richlands, VA Her daughter, Debbie Matney and fiancé Jeff Hutchinson of Richlands, VA Her son, Danny Joe “P-Nut” Johnson and wife Lynn of Swords Creek, VA Step-Children: Dede Greene and husband Tim of Cedar Bluff, VA Ira D. “Chuck” Jackson of Richlands, VA Sisters: JoAnn Smith and husband Jerry of Maryland Kathy Harman of Shelby, NC Wilma Melchor and husband Pete of Pearland, TX Brother, Stacy Harman of Shelly, NC Half-Brother, Datsie Harman of WV Her grandchildren are, Tiffany Nicole Johnson, Kimberly Jo Johnson, Courtney Shortt, Cody Shortt, and Emily Shortt Adams. Step-grandchildren are, Amanda White, Lindsey Wolford, Brooke Wolford, Ryan Greene, Christopher Greene, Whitney Greene, Alivia Greene, Zachary Jackson, Brittany Robbins, Cody Jackson, Nevaeh Jackson, Laken Proffitt, Will Proffitt and Tiffany Cruey. Her great-grandchildren are, Trinity Johnson and Brayden Shortt. Her step-great-grandchildren are, Gabriella Kadence Justice, Colton Proffitt, Kelsey Proffitt, C.J. Proffitt, Jerica Proffitt and Meo Proffitt. Funeral services for Diane H. Jackson will be conducted at Monday, October 22, 2012 at 1:00pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. J.C. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be Danny P-Nut Johnson, Tim Greene, Jerry Smith, Clarence Rose, Jeff Hutchinson, Derek Justice, Ryan Greene. Honorary Pallbearers will be friends and family.
