Ezekial Hall Vance

Ezekial Hall Vance, age 75, of Pounding Mill, Virginia went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Tazewell, Virginia following a lengthy illness. He was born at Keen Mountain, Virginia and was the son of Sara Elizabeth Vandyke Keen Vance Bennett and the late Walter Richard Vance. Ezekial loved to hunt and fish and spent many leisurely hours driving. He worked as a retired coal miner and equipment mechanic for Jewell Smokeless. He was a good man and loved his family, he was always helping others, all you had to do was call and he would be there for you. He attended New Hope Assembly Church at Claypool Hill, Virginia and was a lifetime resident of the area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Lee Vance and two brothers, William Edwards Vance and Troy Keen. In addition to his mother he is survived by: His loving wife, Billie Boyd Vance of Pounding Mill, Virginia One Son: Richard Howell Vance and wife, Judy of Raven, Virginia Daughter-in-Law, Judy Lynn Vance of Shorts Gap, Virginia Four Sisters: Frances Meadows and husband, Charles of Roanoke, Virginia Sylvia Mae Keen and husband, BB of Raven, Virginia Izell Mitchell and husband, Marvin of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Sandy Sisk and husband, Ira of Raven, Virginia One Brother, Coy Gene Keen and wife, Patsy of Raven, Virginia Sister-in-Law, Juanita Vance of Big Branch, Virginia Six Grandchildren: Richard B. Vance and wife, Shelly of Oakwood, Virginia Jason R. Vance and wife, Misty of Doran, Virginia Jessica R. Keen and husband, Jeremy of Shorts Gap, Virginia Heather D. Vance of Beckley, West Virginia Derrick D. Vance and wife, Beth of Raven, Virginia Rebecca Vance of Lebanon, Virginia Thirteen great grandchildren also survive along with a host of family and friends. Funeral services for Ezekial Hall Vance will be conducted Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 11:00 am at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. David Lee Horton and Rev. Claudie Throgmartin officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Richard Vance, Jason Vance, Jeremy Keen, Derrick Vance, Coy Keen and Dean Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be: Bill Meadows, Tom Lowe, Gary Boyd, Tylor Keen, Jordan Vance.
