Geraldine Addair

Geraldine Addair, age 62, of North Tazewell, VA, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 in a Richlands, VA hospital. She was born on November 11, 1953 in Jewell Ridge, VA and was the daughter of the late Nelson Edward and Nancy Elizabeth Short Hess. Her husband, Stan, was her “Kmart Blue Light Special,” and the love of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed fishing with her family, doing her painting, wood crafting, needlework, and making baby quilts. She loved these hobbies and shared the hand made products with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Terry and Martha Short; and Roy and Mae Hess; one brother, Paul Hess; one sister, LaQuada Hess; and one granddaughter, Nevaeh Armes. Survivors are: Her Husband, James Stanley “Stan” Addair Daughters: Misty Armes Spencer of Tazewell, VA Shonna Addair and companion, Larry Blankenship of Mooresville, NC Sons: Tim Armes and companion, Carri Curry of Tazewell, VA Jay Addair of Bristol, VA Sister: Shelby Griffith and husband, Mike of Jewell Ridge, VA Brothers: Leon Hess and wife, Evelyn of Richlands, VA Rev. Ronnie Hess and wife, Tammy of Tazewell, VA Joseph Hess and wife, Jeanna of Jewell Ridge, VA Sisters and Brothers-in-Law: Johnny and Patsy Addair of Bristol, TN Tommy and Judy Addair of Bristol, TN Lori and Terry Hobson of Bristol TN Grandchildren: Tearstin Spencer, Micah Armes, Lucas Armes, Savannah Bullington and husband, Brandon, Santanna Addair, Christopher Whitaker, and Dakota Addair. Great Grandchildren: Rileigh Bullington, Dawson Bullington, Jordan Bullington, and Wyatt Reed Several nieces and nephews whom she loved and her feline companion, Socks also survive. Funeral services for Geraldine Addair will be conducted Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 7pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with the Rev. Don Smith officiating. Interment will be at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, VA on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 12pm. Pallbearers will be: Brandon Bullington, Matthew Lawson, Larry Blankenship, John Hess, Tony Hess, and Dakota Addair.
