Jimmy (James) Roger Goss, Jr, age 41, of Richlands, Virginia passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the son of Brenda Keen Dotson of Richlands, Virginia and the late Jimmy Roger Goss, Sr. He was raised by his former step-fathers, Larry Richardson and Gene Ross. He was a retired casino worker in Cincinnati, Ohio. He lived most of his life in Cincinnati, Ohio and Lawrenceburg, Indiana before moving back to the Richlands area in June 2012. He will be missed by all those who knew him and loved him. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Kansas Keen and Leo and Nannie Goss. He is survived by: His loving and caring Mother, Brenda Keen Dotson of Richlands, Virginia His Step-Father, Kenneth Dotson of Castlewood, Virginia Two Sisters: Crystal Street and husband, David of Oakwood, Virginia April Mashburn Stevens and husband, Travis of Sophia, North Carolina One Step-Brother, David Jackson of Lynchburg, Virginia Three Nephews, Josh Mashburn, Kenneth Street and Shannon Street Two Nieces, Ashley Mashburn and Amber Mashburn Special Companion, “Niarobey” Special Caregivers, Total Home Care Hospice Several great nieces and nephews also survive along with special friends, Perry Farmer, Ruby Farmer, Les Tankensley, Johnny McCracken and Jimmy Summers and a host of family and friends. Funeral services for Jimmy (James) Roger Goss, Jr. will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Open Window Worship Center in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Bobby Stanley, Rev. Shelia Stanley and Rev. Mike Justice officiating. Interment will follow at Boyd Family Cementer on Rt. 618 near Shortt Gap, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Clayton Casey, Kenneth Street, Shannon Street, Joshua Mashburn, Perry Farmer, Les Tankensley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clayton Casey, Jr. and Colton Casey.
