Juanita Viars White

Ms. Juanita Viars White age 64 of Owosso, Michigan traveled to Richlands, Virginia for a family reunion and was called home suddenly by God for a heavenly reunion on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. She was born in Matewan, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Walter and Mae Hatfield Viars who were former West Virginia natives. Juanita was a dedicated and loving mother, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother and friend. She had spent her life being a help to others, she was a giver, always giving of herself. She had attended Cosmetology School and had at one time owned her own beauty shop. In her spare time she loved to decorate, many people commented on the appearance of her home. She later became a nursing aide and worked at Pleasant View Medical facility, spending time with those who needed her. Juanita loved life, and had a very vibrant laugh, people knew her distinctive chuckle and it always lifted their spirits. She was a faithful church member and attended the United Pentecostal Church in Owosso, Michigan. She had left the Richlands area and resided in the Owosso, Michigan area for the last 36 years. Juanita will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Benny L. White, sisters, Loretta Hurley, Freda Clifton and one brother, Darrell Viars. Those who remain to carry on her spirit are: Her four sons: Larry White and wife Pam of Owosso, MI Michael White and wife Rachel of Corunna, MI Eric White of Owosso, MI Glenn White of Owosso, MI Sisters: Anna Lou Browning and Ella Mae Proffitt both of West Virginia Brothers: Walter Viars, Jr and Billy Ray Viars both of Grundy, VA Sister-in-laws: Sue Boggs and husband Glenn of Richlands, VA Patricia White and husband Roger of Jewell Ridge, VA Sandra Stacy of Wolfford, VA Wanda Martin and husband Steve of Richlands, VA Janet Cole and husband Paul of Pilgrim Knob, VA Betty Newberry and husband, David of Cedar Bluff, VA Diane Taylor and husband, Gary of Richlands, VA Brother-in-law, Curtis White and wife Linda of Whitewood, VA Grandchildren: Kyle White, Gentry White, Peyton White, Eric White and Alexandria White Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Friday evening, September 5, 2014 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Farley Christian officiating. Interment will take place at Oak Hills Cemetery in Owosso, Michigan. A Funeral service will be held at Nelson House Funeral Home in Owosso, Michigan at a later date.
