Justin Charles Hess

With great sorrow, the Hess family is saddened to announce the passing of Justin Charles Hess, age 21, of Bristol, TN, formerly of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, on Monday, December 7, 2015 at his home. He was born in Bristol, TN and was the son of Rusty and Teresa Sparks Hess of Cedar Bluff, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Myrtle Sparks; Paternal Grandfather, Bobby Hess; and his beloved pet: Looper. Justin was an affiliate broker and property manager at Realty Executives in Bristol, TN. He first started working at Callebs Realty in Abingdon, Virginia. He was a Richlands High School Class of 2013 graduate and a graduate of SVCC Class of 2013 with three associate degrees in Business Administration, Business Management, and General Administration. He also received a bachelors and masters degree from King University in Business Administration. He was a former first vice president on the national executive board of FCCLA, having been the first Tazewell County student to sit on the board. He was also a former secretary for the FCCLA Board of Directors Marketing, Membership, and Communication Committee and a former Vice President of Parliamentary Law for the Virginia FCCLA. He attended Highlands Fellowship in Bristol, VA. If you ever met Justin, he has surely left a lasting impression on your heart. In such a short life, Justin had accomplished more than most people could aspire to achieve in a lifetime. He had a heart of gold, and was always lending a helping hand to anyone: “True friends are difficult to find, hard to leave, and impossible to forget.” Justin’s generous spirit continues, as he is able to give and bring hope to others by organ donation. Survivors, in addition to his parents, are: Brother: Josh Hess of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Paternal Grandmother: Nancy Hess of Dayton, TN Special Aunts and Uncles: Roy and Judy Sparks; Clyde and Millie Sparks, Polly Coleman; Danny Sparks; Bob and Donna Sparks; Peggy Sparks; and Annette McClanahan Canine Companion: Ralphy Brothers of the Heart: Devon Johnson and Skyler Bunker Justin is also survived by several loving aunts and uncles, cousins, his broker, Anita Morrell, and co-workers at Realty Executives, his assistant, Alex, and many more clients, tenants, business associates, and friends. Funeral services for Justin Hess will be conducted Friday, December 11, 2015 at 3pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, VA with the Rev. Craig Barber officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Hunter Brown, Skyler Bunker, Devon Johnson, Gabe Hunsaker, Josh Justus, and Timmie Wade. Friends may call after 6pm Thursday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, VA.
