Amelia Ann "Amy" Myers

Amelia Ann “Amy” Myers, age 38 of Warriormine, WV departed this life Friday, August 8, 2014 at her home. She was born September 29, 1975 at Cincinnati, OH and was a daughter of Deborah “Debbie” Terry Collins of War, WV and the late Laurence “Ed” Miller. Amy attended Big Creek High School and had the aspirations of becoming an Elementary School Teacher. She was an active member of the Piqua Shawnee Tribe and was proud of her Cherokee lineage. She was a descendant of Black Devil Terry of Kentucky and Hannah Horton who was of Powhatan descent. Amy loved life and enjoyed riding ATV’s and being with friends. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her biological father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, John Mark Collins, Sr.; a special dad, Bruce Donath; Maternal grandfather, Wilson Terry; Step-grandfather, Richard Green; Paternal grandparents, Logan and Emma Barger; Grandfather, Richard Miller; Uncle, Wilson Terry; Aunt, Kathy Reynolds; god-daughter, Alison Layla Lowe. Survivors include her mother, Deborah “Debbie” Terry Collins and fiancé, Robert Beck of War, WV; special companion, Josh Runyon; three brothers, John Mark Collins, II., and wife, Samatha of War, WV, Joshua Sean Collins and fiancée, Autumn Mays of Kingsport, TN and Nevin Gamble of War, WV; one sister, Mattie Carlonda Collins and fiancé’, Jeff McGuire of Raysal, WV; maternal grandmother, Barbara Stamper of Cincinnati, OH; Barbara Gram Donath of Chicago, IL; god-mother and maternal aunt, Shirley May of Cincinnati, OH; nieces and god-daughters, Gracie MaLeigha Collins and Willow Emmaline Collins; nephews, John Mark Collins, III, who was also a god-son, Ethan Jimmy McGuire, Skylar Elijah Arnold and Caden Noah Arnold; special children, Desiree Marie Castle, whom loved her as a second mother, Eden Aimee Mutter, Bethany Brewster, Jonathon Brewster, Clinton Day, Shane Day, and Tiffany Day Kennedy; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive. Funeral services for Amelia Ann “Amy” Myers will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at the True Light Church of the Living God in the Shop Hollow section of War, WV with the Rev. Mike Muncy officiating. Burial will follow at the Hartwell Cemetery in Hartwell, WV. Members of the Ghost Riders M.C. will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Church after 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014.
