Arlin Osborne

Arlin Willie Osborne, 65, of Richlands, Virginia passed away in Richlands, Virginia Friday, April 11, 2008 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Buchanan County, Virginia and was the son of the late Woodrow and Flossie Stillwell Osborne, both former Buchanan County natives. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a retired coal miner with years of service working for Pittston Coal Company. He was a member of U.M.W.A Local #1594. He was of the Pentecostal faith and had attended Wilderness Tabernacle church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Lethie Osborne. Survivors are His Loving Wife of 43 years, Mary Casey Osborne Special Mother of the Heart, Elvie Casey Sons Freddie Osborne of Waltons Ridge, Virginia Donald Osborne of Clifton Fork, Virginia Jeffrey Osborne and wife, Vicki of Tazewell, Virginia Sisters Lois Casey of Richlands, Virginia Gerline Davis, of Tazewell, Virginia Linda Shelton of Claypool Hill, Virginia Sylvia Byrd of Red Ash, Virginia Brothers Daniel Osborne of Osborne Mountain, Virginia Hubbard Osborne of Osborne Mountain, Virginia Marvin Osborne of Paintlick, Virginia Jackie Osborne of Osborne Mountain, Virginia Special Nieces and Nephews Jodie Moyer, Samantha Brett, Robert Phillips, Shelby Laney, Ronnie Laney, and Carolyn Phillips Special Friends, Pamela Sue Pruett Five Grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Funeral Services for Arlin Osborne will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Ed Lester, Brother Elmer Lee, and Sister Elsie Burke officiating. Interment will follow at the Ball Family Cemetery located on Road Ridge. Pallbearers will be Lilan Clifton, Mack Fields, Keith Clifton, Jackie McGlothlin, Carl Junior Davis, and Jerry Welch. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph Pruitt, Jackie Horn, Helping Hands Staff, Dr. Kabaria, and Dr. Bailey. The family will receive friends at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia from 6:00pm until 9:00pm Saturday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in order to assist her with the final expenses.
