Bodie Creed Whited

Bodie Creed Whited, beloved infant son of Adam Whited and fiancée, Katelyn Keen, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at the Niswongers Children’s Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee. Bodie was born into this world as a beautiful gift from God and after a precious 24 hours of being loved fiercely, and surrounded by prayer, passed away peacefully in his father’s arms. Though his time on earth was far too short, he was a miraculous blessing who forever changed our lives before gently being called home to rest in the loving arms of Jesus. Bodie is cherished and survived by his loving parents, Adam Whited and Katelyn Keen; his big brothers, Hunter Whited and Kolton Mize; sister, Kinsley Keen; his paternal grandparents, Larry Whited and Melissa Hayes; maternal grandparents, Jackie Keen, Jr. and wife, Ashley and Wanda Endres and husband, John; his maternal great grandparents, Jackie Keen, Sr. and wife, Melissa and Sharee Lester; loving aunts: Heather Lester (JBo); Nicolette Duty (Andrew); Ashley Keen (Chase); Kaylee Keen; Makylei Musick; and Briton Wallace (Wyatt); Great Uncles and Aunt: Dr. Douglas Keen; Richard Keen; Kenneth Lester; and Tammy Foley (Tom). We find comfort in knowing he is now an angel in Heaven. He is now watching over us and is wrapped in perfect peace until we meet again. He now abides in the loving arms of his grandmother, Elizabeth Ann Whited; paternal great grandparents, Grat “Happy” and Peggy Whited; paternal great grandmother, Joyce Hayes; maternal great grandmother, Sylvia Keen; and his very special great aunt, Deborah Brewster. “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4 Funeral services for Bodie Creed Whited will be conducted Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 2pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Jon Hermes and Dr. Douglas Keen officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia.
