Carol Miller

Carol Lane Miller, age 60 of Richlands, Virginia passed away suddenly Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Fishersville, Virginia. She was born in Grundy, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Homer and Virga Foster Lane. Carol owned and operated the Hidden Treasures Thrift Store in Richlands and was a former employee of Russell Manufacturing in Lebanon. She loved to go camping and attend car races, and browse through thrift shops. Carol was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had spent most of her life in the Tazewell and Buchanan County areas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 2nd husband, John Miller, a sister, Delphine Stiltner, a brother Douglas Homer Lane and a nephew, Brian Allen Mead. Those who survive are: Her Daughters: Sabrina Carol Endicott of Richlands, VA Jean Wright of Bandy, VA Debbie Hicks and husband Russell of Cedar Bluff, VA Son, Harvey Junior Endicott III of Richlands, VA Sisters: Mickey Penderson and husband Lamont of Baptist Valley, VA Sue peoples of Hamilton, Al Phyllis Weller and husband Richard of Laurel, MD Imogene Mead and husband Marty of Wildwood , IL Wanda Hall and husband gene of Lilburn, GA Brothers: Jim P. Lane of Kenosha, WI Joe Lane and wife Edith of Kenosha, WI Grandfather of the heart, Wilford “Pops” Nelson of Richlands, VA Special Friend and companion, James “Louie” Compton Four grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive along with a host of friends and family. Funeral services for Carol Miller will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 13, 201 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev.’s Charlie Absher and Dickie Plaster officiating. Interment will follow at the Hankins Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call from 6-9 pm Wednesday evening at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home.
