Christopher Zane Harrington

Christopher Zane Harrington age 44 of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia. He was born in Richlands, Virginia on September 28, 1974 to Alfred Harrington and step-mother, Molly of Cedar Bluff, Virginia and his mother, Cathy Nelson Carlson and step-father, Robert Carlson of North Tazewell, Virginia. Christopher was a graduate of Tazewell High School Class of 1992. He went onto Southwest Virginia Community College and received his certification in electricity, carpentry and plumbing. After college, he moved to Charlotte and worked as a superintendant for Malvaney Homes. Christopher decided to move back home and open his own carpentry business with a friend, and sadly was involved in a diving accident that caused him to become a paraplegic. His spirit remained as feisty as ever and he never gave up on life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. His father would take him hunting and fishing, he so enjoyed being in the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred Robbie Harrington. Those that remain to carry on his spirit in addition to his parents are his: Children: Corporal Cody Harrington and girlfriend, Allison of Cherry Point, NC Brandon Harrington of Richlands, NC Christopher Harrington of Berwind, WV Sisters: Shannon McGraw and husband, Thomas of North Tazewell, VA Kate Shortt and husband, Tony of Cedar Bluff, VA Brother, Tim Harrington and Missy of Catawba, NC Grandchildren, Ryley Harrington and Athena Harrington. Special caregiver, Courtney Lowe of Baptist Valley, VA The funeral service for Christopher Zane Harrington will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Tazewell, Virginia with the Rev. Barry Absher officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019.
