Clifford Wayne "Tip" Keen

Clifford Wayne “Tip” Keen, age 69 of Pounding Mill, Virginia found his peace in the arms of Jesus on Thursday, August 9, 2018 following a brief illness. He was born in Tazewell County, Virginia and was the son of the late Sherman and Carrie Lamie Keen. Over the years, Tip had worked as a coal miner, appliance repair man and tree cutter. He had lived most of his life in the Tazewell County area. Tip was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Caroline Keen; and four brothers, Danny Keen, Ricky Keen, James Keen and Timothy Keen. Those who remain to cherish his memory are: His loving wife of 46 years, Bonnie Sue Dye Keen of Pounding Mill, VA Daughters: Sharon Short and husband, Andrew of Doran, VA Dana Keen and husband, Andrew Ball of Richlands, VA Son, Jeffrey Smith and wife, Kathy Anders of Richlands, VA Son/grandson, Gregory Anders and wife, Courtney of Pounding Mill, VA Sister, Kitty Keen of Richlands, VA Brothers: Randy Keen of Wardell, VA Joe Keen and wife, Jessie of Pikeville, KY Bo Keen and wife, Terri of Lebanon, VA Toby Keen and wife, Cathy of Richlands, VA Grandchildren, Brandon Short, Jeffrey Smith, Caitlin Tilley and husband, Cody; Shylah Cantrell and Sierra Cantrell Great Grandchildren, Baylee Anders, Jase Anders, Demetrius Tilley and Gunner Tilley. The funeral service for Clifford W. “Tip” Keen will be conducted at 1:00pm on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richland, Virginia with the Rev. Mike Roberts and Rev. Grady McGlothlin officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Gregory Anders, Harry Hunnell, Charles Nipper, Jerry Endicott, Sherman Fuller, Paul Lester, Andrew Short, Ernie Horton, Eddie Brown and Randy Carver. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday evening.
