Clyde David Osborne

Clyde David Osborne, age 77, of Richlands, Virginia departed his Earthly home on Thursday, November 19 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee following a brief illness. Clyde was born on July 28, 1943 in Jewell Ridge to the late William “Trigger Bill” and Lovis Osborne. He was a member of New Life Ministries at Pounding Mill, Virginia. Clyde loved to sing and play his guitar in church. He was a lifelong resident of the area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Emory Osborne; his sister, Verlie Elswick; sister-in-law, Renda Osborne; two grandsons, Curtis and Clyde Osborne; and one step grandson, Matthew Shrader. Those who survive to treasure his memory include His wife of 57 years, Beckie Osborne; Children, David Osborne and wife, Debra of Richlands, Virginia, Gary Osborne and wife, Sherry of Rocky Gap, Virginia, Lisa Alley and husband, Tommy of Richlands, Virginia, Terry Osborne and wife, Melissa of Red Root Ridge, Virginia; Brothers, Elice Osborne and wife, Mary of Raven, Virginia, Chap Osborne of Raven, Virginia; Sister, Hattie Short and husband Mose of Powhattan, Virginia; Grandsons, Robert Osborne and wife, Amanda of Richlands, Virginia Dean Osborne of Swords Creek, Virginia, Douglas Osborne and wife, Ariel of Whitewood, Virginia, and Chris Alley and wife, Samantha of Tazewell, Virginia; Granddaughter, Kayla Osborne and husband, Brandon of Richlands, Virginia; Step-Grandson, Michael Shrader Step-Granddaughter, Hope Jackson Eleven great grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren, and one step great-great grandchild also survive. Funeral services for Clyde David Osborne will be conducted at 11 AM on Monday, November 23, 2020 at New Life Ministries in Pounding Mill, Virginia with David Osborne, Robert Osborne, and Dannie Short officiating. Interment will follow at Hankins Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia where Robert Osborne, Dean Osborne, Douglas Osborne, Chris Alley, Brandon Osborne, Kayla Osborne, Austin Burke, and Seth Burke will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Osborne’s sixteen great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at New Life Ministries on Sunday evening from 6 PM until 7 PM, where an evening service will be conducted at 7 PM. Casey-Shortt VFW Post #9640 will conduct military graveside rites. In accordance with state mandates, masks will be required during the visitation and funeral services. Cooperation is appreciated.
