Clyde Edward Reynolds

Clyde Edward Reynolds, age 91, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Dogwood Crossing in Tazewell, Virginia. Clyde was born on July 9, 1930, in Cedar Bluff, Virginia, and was the son of the late Charlie and Nora Addison Reynolds. He worked for General Shale Brick for 27 years and was a retired coal miner from Jewell Smokeless Coal Company. Clyde was a member of San Mateo Church of God while living in Florida and was also a member of the Lifting Up Jesus Church in Pounding Mill for the past three years. He loved to fish and loved to work. He was a loving husband, good son, great father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be missed by all those who loved and knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Claude Reynolds, Wilbert Reynolds, Jeff Reynolds, Will Reynolds, and infant twin brothers, Earl and Pearl; six sisters, Lula Griffith, Anna May Hess, Mary Monk, Pauline Ball, Dorothy Monk; and his infant twin sister, Bessie; and his lifelong friend, Jack Robinson. He is survived by: His wife of 66 years and 5 months, Bessie Steele Reynolds Daughter, Linda Reynolds Maxfield, and husband, Scottie of Richlands, VA Son, Phillip Reynolds of Crescent City, FL Grandchildren: Gwen Maxfield Cantrell, Scottie Dwayne Maxfield, Anthony Maxfield, Nathaniel Reynolds, and Brian Reynolds. Eleven Great Grandchildren Brother, Henry Reynolds of Richlands, VA A host of family and friends also survive. Special thanks to his nephew, Charlie Hess, who has been his barber for the past three years. Thanks to all the staff at Dogwood Assisted Living Care for the great care they gave to him. Graveside services for Clyde Edward Reynolds will be conducted Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 3:30 pm at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum #4 at Claypool Hill, Virginia with Pastor Scottie Maxfield officiating. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be Mike Monk, Scotty Horne, Charlie Hess, Dwayne Maxfield, Mike Cantrell, Nathaniel Reynolds, and Brian Reynolds.
