Debra Sue Anders

With deeply saddened hearts, the family of Debra Sue Anders announces her passing. She is with her Lord and Savior and in that beautiful place called Heaven. She was married for 53 years to the love of her life. She worked in the emergency room at Clinch Valley Medical Center and will be missed by all her coworkers and patients. She loved cooking big dinners for Thanksgiving and Christmas for her family. She loved her family deeply and when you talked to her, she was sure to tell you about them. Her favorite word was “honey”. Debra was a member of the Hill Creek Baptist Church of Richlands where she shared her love for the Lord. She was a member of the Hill Creek Baptist Church and was a lifelong resident of the area. She will be missed greatly by all her loving family and friends. Debra was born on August 17, 1957, in Richlands, Virginia, and was the daughter of Eugene Jeter of Richlands, Virginia, and the late Louise Lowe Jeter, and passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Eugene Anders. In addition to her father, she is survived by: Her husband of 53 years, Gregory Anders, Sr. Son: Gregory Anders Jr. and wife, Cathy, of South Carolina Brother: Dale Jeter and his wife, Lisa, of South Carolina Daughter-in-law, Melissa Anders Also surviving are seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one on the way. Several family and friends also survive. Funeral services for Debra Sue Anders will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Hill Creek Baptist Church; Hill Creek Rd, Richlands, Virginia, with Pastor Tom Edwards and Pastor Tim Anders officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Zack Anders, Kaden Anders, Christopher Anders, Axel Compton, and Jason Anders. The Anders family will receive family and friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday evening at the church.
