Eloise Puckett

Eloise Puckett, age 78, of Raven, Virginia, departed this Earth bound for her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee. Eloise was born on January 9, 1936 in Lex, West Virginia to the late Lawrence Sr. and Hazel Robinson Payne. Mrs. Puckett was a member of the Open Window Worship Center in Jesus Name in Richlands, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Dennis William Puckett, one sister: Betty Jean Kennedy, one brother: Arland L. Payne, grandparents: Tom and Ida Payne, and two grandchildren: Michelle Johnson and Christopher Adam Justus. Mrs. Puckett is survived by: Her husband of 64 years: Charles William Puckett Three Daughters: Margaret Ann Justus and husband, Irvin, of Claypool Hill, Virginia Shelia Carlene Stanley and husband, Rev. Bobby Stanley, of Richlands, Virginia Pamela Sue Dye and husband, James Jr., of Raven, Virginia One Sister: Edna Thornsberry of Bland, Virginia Two Brothers: Lawrence Payne Jr. of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Hufford Payne of Narrows, Virginia Daughter-in-Law: Donna Puckett of Raven, Virginia Nine Grandchildren, Ten Great-Grandchildren, and Seven Great-Great Grandchildren. The family of Eloise Puckett would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Jamal Sayhouni, Dr. Burress, Dr. Fernandez, Dr. McCloud, Dr. Sue Prill, April Murray, RN, and the Virginia State Police Medflight for the care they provided during her illness. Funeral services for Eloise Puckett will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Open Window Worship Center in Jesus Name in Richlands, Virginia at 1 PM with the Pastor Bobby Stanley, Pastor James Dye Jr., Rev. Irvin Justus, and Rev. Jack Wright officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Jackie Wright, Aaron Dye, Charles Lyons, Marcus Puckett, Ronald Holmes, Michael Bostic, Kelly Horn, John Austin, and Bryan Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Zachary Brooks, Tyler Puckett, Elijah Holmes, Sean Thornsberry, Nathaniel Scott, and Men of the Open Window Worship Center in Jesus Name. Visitation will be held Saturday and Sunday evening from 6 – 9 PM at the Open Window Worship Center in Jesus name with services being held both nights at 7 PM.
