Emma Webb Herbert

Mrs. Emma Lee Webb Herbert, age 85, of Millboro, Virginia, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008 in a Staunton, Virginia nursing facility. She was born in Buchanan County and was the daughter of the late Major Lee and Mona Wade Webb, both Buchanan County natives. She was a former employee for the premier store in Red Ash, Virginia. In 1957 she moved from Cedar Bluff, Virginia to Cleveland, Ohio and owned a Delicatessen Store where she was a hard working business woman for over 30 years and loved her Bingo. In 2002, she moved to Millboro, Virginia to live with her son, Bill Chambers and his wife, Barbara. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ira Raymond Chambers; her second husband, David Herbert; and one sister, Francis Casey. Survivors are: Two Daughters: Sherrie Collins of Cleveland, Ohio Wanda Waite of Cleveland, Ohio One Son: Bill Chambers and wife, Barbara of Millboro, Virginia Two Sisters: Virginia Cole of Waxhaw, North Carolina Ruby Wells of Parma, Ohio Three Brothers: Harold Webb and wife, Marylou of Bristol, Tennessee Harmon Webb and wife, Marie of Richlands, Virginia Johnny Webb and wife, Peggy of Oakwood, Virginia Eight Grandchildren, Raymond Chambers and wife, Christine of Staunton, VA; Cindy Chambers Webb and husband, Bruce of Staunton, VA; Shelia Everett and husband, Glenn of Staunton, VA; Bill Chambers, Jr. of Millboro, VA; David Waite and wife, Elizabeth of Battlecreek, MI; Ashley Waite of Battlecreek, MI; Kaysea Waite of East Lansing, MI; Kristopher Waite of Cleveland, OH. Twelve Great Grandchildren, Erik, Amanda, Christopher, and Melissa Chambers of Staunton, VA; T.J. Riffel of Brunswick, OH; Taylor Webb of Staunton, VA; Shana and Allen Everett of Staunton, VA; Jeremy Chambers of Millboro, VA; Isabella and Israel Waite of Battlecreek, MI; Lauren Waite of East Lansing, MI; One Great Great Grandchild, Travis Coy Riffel of Seville, OH. Several nieces and nephews and their families as well as special care givers, Billy, Rhonda, and Hunter Grimm of Millboro, VA also survive. Funeral services for Emma Lee Webb Herbert will be conducted Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 11:00am at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Carter Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Raymond Chambers, Erik Chambers, Allen Everett, Glenn Everett, Gary Wells, Bill Chambers, Jr., Billy Grimm, and Richard Cole.
