Fearl France, age 69, of Pounding Mill, Virginia passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his home. He was born in Stewart, Kentucky and was the son of the late Elmer and Rebeckie Damron France of Kentucky. Mr. France was a retired truck driver and was a member of the Steelsburg United Methodist Church. He had been a resident of the Cedar Bluff area for 35 years. He is survived by: His Wife of 23 years, Sarah M. “Tillie” Fields France Two Daughters: Sharon Angotti and husband, Mario of Romeo, Michigan Karen France of Detroit, Michigan One Son: Jeffrey France and wife, Stephanie of Princeton, West Virginia Five Sisters: Jimmie Jean Baker of Clintwood, Virginia Betty Polly of Alexandria, Virginia Jenny Mae Taylor and husband, Jerry of Bristol, Tennessee Alberta Keister and husband, Sonny of Bristol, Tennessee Whelma Stanley and husband, Freddie of Clintwood, Virginia Five Brothers: Earl France and wife, Irene of Clintwood, Virginia Clyde France and wife, Audra of Clintwood, Virginia Clearsy France of Clintwood, Virginia Burl France of Tennessee Delmer “Doc” France of Toledo, Ohio Nine grandchildren, one step grandchild; three great grandchildren and one due in March. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Special thanks to Kristen Whitt and nurses at Helping Hands Home Health and Hospice Funeral services for Fearl France will be conducted Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. J.C. Johnson and Rev. Sam Altizer officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Rodney Stamper, Joe Tatum, Danny Starling, Dewayne France and Earl France. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Grandsons and Granddaughters. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, January 28, 2014 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
