Guy Stanley Hagy Sr.

Guy Stanley Hagy, Sr. age 69 of Thompson Valley area of Tazewell, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at a Roanoke hospital following an extended illness. Guy was born November 14, 1951 in Russell County Virginia and was the son of the late Andy Mark Hagy and Lucy Luvania Marshall Hagy. He had dedicated his life to providing for his family, caring for them and showing them an immeasurable amount of love. Guy opened his heart and his home to other children and always made sure they knew what love was. He was a truck driver for Southern States and Bluegrass Oil for many years, but his passion was farming and riding horses. He enjoyed fishing, and hunting, but his greatest joy was being with his family. He was a lifelong resident of the surrounding area, and Thompson Valley has truly lost a great member of their community. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Connie Lou Frances Hagy; a son, Stanley Hagy, Jr; brothers, John Henry Hagy, J.P. Hagy, Graham Hagy, Bobby Hagy; special brother of his heart, Oscar “Buck” Davis; sister, Dorothy Hagy Hicks, and great-grandchild, Baby Lowe. Those that remain to carry on his spirit are his: Loving wife, Victoria Mae Totten Hagy Sons: Andrew Mark Hagy and wife, Sherry; Joe Amorine Hagy and companion, Daniel; John Christopher Hagy and girlfriend, Miranda; Jeffrey Allen Hagy and wife, Katlyn. Daughter, Luciann Lynn Smith and husband Zack Daughter of the heart, Janie Marvella Smith Sisters, Mary Brown and husband, Tivis, Ruby Younts, Bonnie Hagy, Judy Hagy Brothers, Andrew Hagy and Cecil Hagy Grandchildren, Elizabeth Pruett, Lakoda Hagy, Lindsey Hagy, Destiny Ann Hagy and fiancé Jeffrey Lowe, Austin Christopher Hagy, Stanley Ryan Smith and soon to be, Maelyn Rayan Smith. Great-grandchild, Hayden Michael Lowe Grandchildren of the heart, Lane, Quinn, and Maggie McMullen and Dominic Smith. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Thompson Valley Community Center with the Brother Kelvin Seabolt officiating. A private graveside service will be attended by the family only at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Thompson Valley, Virginia. Pallbearers will be, Jeffrey Hagy, Austin Hagy, Zack Smith, Andrew Hagy, Chris Hagy, Lakoda Hagy, Joe Hagy, Jason Harrison and Jeffrey Lowe.
