Harold Mosley

Mr. Harold McDonald "Moe" Mosley, age 63, of 440 Patterson St. Troutman, North Carolina formerly of Richlands, Virginia died Monday, September 29th, 2003 at his home. He was born in Buchanan County, Virginia and was a son of the late Frank and Gertrude Burke Mosley, both Buchanan County natives. He had made his home in the Richlands area most of his life, was a retired miner with Island Creek Coal Company and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, Keen Mt., Virginia Local. He lived in Troutman the past sixteen years and was a retired mechanic for Yellow Freight Lines in Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended the Whittman Park Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two half-sisters, Geneva Boyd and Trudell Short and three half-brothers, Curtis Burke, John Mosley, and Jim Mosley. Survivors are: His Wife, Mrs. Juanita Osborne Mosley One Son, Mr. Johnny Mosley and wife, Linda of Troutman, North Carolina Two Sisters: Mrs. Beatrice Richards of Richlands, Virginia and Mrs. Gaye Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colorado Five Half-Sisters: Mrs. Irene Sloan of Ocala, Florida, Mrs. Brenda Puckett of Tazewell, Virginia, Mrs. Betty Matney of Troutman, North Carolina, Mrs. Maggie Pruitt of Maryville, Tennessee, and Mrs. Wanda Carver of Raven, Virginia Three Half-Brothers: Mr. Ronnie Boyd of Richlands, Virginia, Mr. Rodger Mosley of Richlands, Virginia, and Mr. Dan Mosley of Sacramento, California One Grandson, Jason Mosley Funeral services for Mr. Harold McDonald "Moe" Mosley will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Rex Ware and Rev. Paul Childress officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Carlos Mosley, Raymond Davis, Grady McGlothlin, Wendell Short, Phillip Keen, and Eulis Keen. Honorary pallbearers: Alden Ward, Calvin Ward, Homer Dye, Ervin Kincaid, and Emory Stilwell. Friends may call at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
