Jason Geary Heatley

Jason Geary Heatley, 30, of Arvada, CO, passed away at the Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado following a brief illness. Jason was born in La Mesa, CA on October 19, 1994 and was the son of Harold Heatley and Jeannie Gilbert Heatley. He had the funniest sense of humor and a smile that would light up a room. After graduating from Tazewell High School in 2012, Jason followed his passion of photography. As an accomplished photographer, he helped many aspiring models enter the industry. He won many art contests, even having a photograph endorsed by Vogue. We will carry on this life without him, but as a wise old man once said, “If you talk about them often and rejoice in the memories they left in your heart, they will always be with you.” We will miss you, Jason, but we take joy in the last words to your mother, “Ok, love you, Mommy.” Rest easy, son. We will see you again. Jason was predeceased by his grandparents, Kelly Buskell, George Heatley, and Jamelle Walden; and Uncle, Tony Wiseman. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: George Heatley, Tanner Hieatt, John Heatley, Landon Hieatt, Logan Stiltner, and Matt Stiltner. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2pm on Wednesday prior to the funeral at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Tazewell, Virginia.
