JoAnn Whited Campbell

JoAnn Whited Campbell, age 78, of Raven, Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 30th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on October 4th, 1946, to the late Perry Whited and Myrtle Marie Richardson Whited. JoAnn was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering faith. She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was a beloved Woman of God who treasured fellowship with her Christian family. She is survived by: Son, Ralph Campbell Jr & wife Becky of Raven, VA; son, Darrell Campbell & wife Alice of Cedar Bluff, VA; daughter, Teressa Keene & husband Bernard of Raven, VA; daughter, Jennifer Kay Dunn & husband Todd of Canonsburg, PA; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Sister, Betty Miller & husband Julius of Abingdon, VA; brother, Ralph Whited & wife Phyllis of Swords Creek, VA; brother, Allen Whited & wife Sandi of Raven, VA; sister, Bonnie Hagy of Raven, VA; brother, Roger Whited & wife Diana of Richlands, VA; and sister Connie Whited of Raven, VA, who will forever remember her. She was preceded in death by Perry Whited (father) and Myrtle Marie Richardson Whited (mother), infant sister Doris Arlene Whited & infant brother Whited, Brenda Whited Grose (sister), Darlene Whited Keene (sister), Christopher Shane Campbell (grandson), and Aliyah Grace Beavers (great-granddaughter). A service to honor and celebrate JoAnn’s life will be held on Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 at 1pm at the Hurst Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Richlands Virginia with the Rev. Tim Lester and Rev. Rick Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Matthew Whited, Brent Beavers, Jackson Nutter, Houston Wyatt, Shawn Campbell, Brandon Whited, Nick Whited and Cory Whited. The public viewing will be Wednesday, April 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
