Jordyn Paige Rasnake

Jordyn Paige Rasnake, age 20, beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and friend departed this life on February 18th, 2024. She was born December 29th, 2003, to a loving mother and father, Angel and Eric Rasnake of Brown Mountain, Virginia. Her greatest passion in life was music, specifically playing the guitar she was taught by her daddy. Singing and playing guitar in church was one of the highlights of her childhood. Jordyn grew up attending Keen Mountain Free Pentecostal Holiness Church under the pastorship of Bro. Randy Webb who also served as her principal and hero. She was a 2022 graduate of Keen Mountain Christian Academy, where she graduated Salutatorian. Jordyn was currently enrolled in the Criminal Justice program at SWVCC, where she was serving in an internship as an Auxiliary Officer with the Richlands Police Department. Her dream was to become a police officer following in her daddy’s footsteps. She is preceded in death, by paternal grandfather, Bailey Whited, and great-grandmothers Zena Tolliver and Earlene Cooper. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her best friend and brother Tyler Rasnake, and sister Kylee Rasnake, both of the home. Maternal grandparents Angel “Mamie” and Jeff “Poppy” Lamie of Pounding Mill, VA, David “Papaw” and Sheila “Mamaw” Tolliver of Brown Mountain. Paternal grandmother Lois “Mawmaw” Whited of Richlands, VA. Uncle Wayne “Bub” and wife Rebekah Tolliver of Pounding Mill, Uncle Malik “Geeky” Lamie of Kingsport, TN. A special great-aunt Lynn Hicks “Aunt E” of Pounding Mill and special friend “Uncle” Shane Charles of Grundy, VA. Numerous other family members and friends are left behind to cherish her memory. Even though her time was short, Jordyn’s beautiful smile and laughter will never be forgotten and the joy she has brought to so many lives will forever live on. Funeral services for Jordyn Paige Rasnake will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Richlands Tabernacle; 2505 Third Street; Richlands, VA with Rev. Randy Webb and Rev. Joe Holden officiating. Burial will be private at Greenhills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Wayne Tolliver, Charlie Ward, Gavin Ward, Chandler Morris, Nathan Webb, Tyler Rasnake, Noah Lester and Levi Mounts. Honorary pallbearers will be Reagan Baker, Kyra Justice, Kady Clifton, Kristen Mounts and Malik Lamie. The Rasnake family will be receiving friends from 5-7 pm at the Richlands Tabernacle.
