Juanita Davis

Mrs. Juanita Meade Davis, age 76, of Richlands, Virginia while being held by her children and surrounded by her family, made her journey home from this earthly life into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ to live in heaven on September 27, 2007. Born on June 12, 1931 to the late George Albert and Carrie Elizabeth Holland Meade she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved and cared for her family and her entire life with an unconditional love only a mother can give. She was of the Pentecostal Faith and a member of the Richlands Tabernacle. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty years, Andrew B. Davis; one daughter, Connie Sue Davis Littrell; one grandson, Clint Wayne Littrell; one son in law, Rickey G. Littrell; and one infant grandson, Rickey Andrew Littrell.; four sisters, Margaret Tuggle, Frankie Tuggle, Viola Owens, and Dorothy Keene; three brothers, Glenn Meade, Howard Meade, and Albert (AP) Meade. Left to cherish her memory is her four children who God blessed to have her as their mother: Eddie Lee Davis and wife, Bonnie of Richlands, Virginia Carol Stillwell and husband Darrell of Paintlick, Virginia Donna J. Davis with whom she resided Bobbie Ray and husband, Terry of Doran, Virginia Five Grandsons: Kenny Stillwell, Chris Stillwell, Michael Stillwell and wife, Heather, Justin Littrell whom she lovingly raised and guided and his wife, Hope, and Blake Ray Two Granddaughters: Cynthia Davis and Emily Ray Three Great Grandchildren: Lauren and Logan Stillwell and Gavin Isaac Littrell Funeral services for Juanita Meade Davis will be conducted Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 2:00pm at the Richlands Tabernacle with the Rev. Ralph Horton and Rev. Bob Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Kenny Stillwell, Justin Littrell, Blake Ray, Billy Gillespie, Darrell Breeding, and Charlie Hays. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dr. M.J. Thakkar, Dr. Sharif Shoukry, and Dr. Edson Knapp. Friends may call after 6:00pm Saturday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church.
