Julia Roydon Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ms. Julia Roydon Bez, age 82, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Mayfair House at Claypool Hill, Virginia following a lengthy illness. She was born in Flint, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Amos and Adma Silman Roydon. She had made her home in the Richlands, Virginia area for the past forty-three years and was a former employee of Roydon’s Clothing Store. She had attended Richlands High School and Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia. She was a lifelong and very active member of the First United Methodist Church in Richlands, Virginia. She was a member of the Asbury Sunday School Class, Sisterhood Circle, Administrative Council, Church Society Committee, Elderberries, Praise and Worship NOW, and an Honorary Member of the WCTU. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Roydon; brother in law, Doc Richards; niece, LaMarr Richards and nephew, Hekmat Wehbe. Survivors are: One Daughter: Jami A. Lowstuter and husband, Bruce of Concord, Michigan One Son: Fred Bez, Jr. of Sarasota, Florida Three Sisters: Nejla Wehbe of Lebanon Adele Hazer and husband, Ted of Omaha, Nebraska Selwa Richards of Park Forest, Illinois Nieces and Nephews: Ross Richards and wife Jerrilyn, Julie Richards, Lisa Froelich,and husband Monte, Dean Richards and wife Elloisa, Roydon Richards and wife, Vera, Nassab Wehbe, Fadia Wehbe, and Adla Wehbe Great Nieces and Nephews: Kaylee Richards, Emily Richards, Adam Froelich, Summer Froelich, Jared Froelich, Jasmine Froelich, Jessica Richards, Vanessa Richards, and Nicholas Richards. Funeral services for Julia Roydon Bez will be conducted Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 1:00pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. David Brannock and Rev. Norman Wilhoit officiating. Interment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Fred Bez, Bruce Lowstuter, Ross Richards, Roydon Richards, Casey Jones, and Frank Lawson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dr. James Belcher, Bernard Sparks, Dean Richards, R.A. Cook, John Martin, Joe Horton, and Monte Froelich. Friends may call after 6:00pm Wednesday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
