Kimberly Nicole Harrison, age 44, of Richlands, VA, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at Commonwealth Memory Care in Cedar Bluff, Virginia. She was born March 17, 1972 and was the daughter of Betty L. Harrison of Richlands, Virginia and the late J.D. Harrison, Sr. Kim has been a blessing to our lives. She was full of love and taught us about God’s love. Though we are sad, we rejoice that she is home with our heavenly father, seeing Jesus face to face, with all the saints, and participating in the glory of heaven. We will miss her, but look forward to when we will see her again. Kim is the sister of J. David Harrison, Jr. of Richlands, VA and Christopher S. Harrison and wife, Christina, of Lexington, Kentucky. Kim is an aunt to Alexandria Paige Harrison, daughter of J. David Harrison, Jr.; Angie Gail Keen, Nicholas Christian Harrison, and Jessica JoEllen Harrison, children of Christopher and Christina Harrison. There are no words that the family can even begin to express to all those who have supported and walked with Kim and her family throughout her life. Your love, support, and prayers will always be treasured by Kim’s family. Kim had so many friendships she developed over the years with the many people at Cumberland Mountain Community Services especially Ann Ratliff and Daniel Hess; Dr. Larry Mitchell, Clinch Valley Medical Center, Commonwealth Memory Care Unit, Richlands Presbyterian Church family, Pastor Paul Min, and so many others who have provided help and fellowship through Kim’s long journey. Funeral services for Kimberly Nicole Harrison will be held at the Richlands Presbyterian Church in Richlands, Virginia on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Dr. Paul Min and Pastor Chris Harrison officiating. Following the funeral the family will have a private graveside service. Kim will be buried next to her father in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be David Harrison, Chris Harrison, Alexandria Harrison, Nicolas Harrison and Jessica Harrison. No visitation will be held at the funeral home; however, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
