Laura Rife

Mrs. Laura June Coleman Rife, age 78, of Clear Fork Creek Road Rocky Gap, Virginia formerly of Jolo, West Virginia went to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning July 6th, 2004. Laura was born in War, West Virginia August 8th, 1925 and was a daughter of the late Daniel and Nora Mullins Coleman. Laura was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and devoted Christian. She had been a cook with the McDowell County School Board System and was a member of the Rocky Gap Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, one brother, Mack ?Buddy? Coleman, two sisters, Margaret Hagerman and Patsy Johnson. Survivors are: Her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Mr. Anthony L. Rife Daughters: Mrs. Gilda Kennedy and husband, Garnie of Clear Fork Creek Rd. Rocky Gap, Virginia Mrs. Hilda Sutphin and husband, Larry of Clear Fork Creek Rd. Rocky Gap, Virginia Sons: Mr. Merrill T. Rife of Bastian, Virginia Mr. Alvie R. Rife of Clear Fork Creek Rd. Rocky Gap, Virginia Mr. Trevis R. Rife of Clear Fork Creek Rd. Rocky Gap, Virginia 16 Grandchildren: Daniel Rife, Melissa Rife Belcher, Laura Marie Rife, Ashley Rife, Kelli Rife, Robert D. Rife, Angela Rife, Anthony Horne, Dean Horne, Jr. and wife Jessica, Samantha Horne, Amy Horne Caudill and husband, Brad, Vanessa Kennedy Havens and husband, Steve, Anthony ?Tony? Kennedy and wife, Rhonda, Brian Kennedy and wife, Christy, Jeromy Sutphin and Chris Sutphin and wife, Angie. 14 Great Grandchildren Sister, Mrs. Louise Adams and husband, Leonard of English, West Virginia Brother, Mr. Patrick Coleman and wife, Mary of Elyria, Ohio Funeral services for Mrs. Laura June Coleman Rife will be conducted Friday, July 9th, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Tazewell, Virginia with Rev. Eddie Johnson, Rev. Billy Ward, and Rev. Freddie Dobbs officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Brian Kennedy, Tony Kennedy, Daniel Rife, Steve Havens, Dean Horne, Jr., Brad Caudill, and Anthony Horne.
