Lila Agent

Mrs. Lila Lynn Agent, age 53, of Jewell Ridge, Virginia, died Thursday, February 12th, 2004 at a Richlands, Virginia hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Jewell Ridge, Virginia and was a daughter of the late James Alonzo and Goldie Lucille Gilbert Goodin, both Tazewell County natives. She was a disabled coal miner, a former employee of Jewell Ridge Coal Corp. and Island Creek Coal Company and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. She had made her home in the Jewell Ridge area most of her life and attended Worldwide Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Leroy Tripp, and two brothers, Jim Frank Goodin and William Goodin. Survivors are: Five Sons: Mr. James Leroy Tripp of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Mr. Michael Edmond Tripp of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Mr. Thomas Franklin Agent of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Mr. Daniel Steven Agent of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Mr. Joshua Aaron Agent of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Former Husband, Mr. Robert Glenn Agent of Torrence, California 1 Brother, Mr. Stephen Terry Goodin of Jewell Ridge, Virginia 1 Sister, Zola Zee Starnes of Pikeville, Kentucky 2 Grandchildren: Starla Michell Tripp and Justin Glenn Tripp Funeral services for Mrs. Lila Lynn Agent will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. at her home #121 Jewell Ridge, Virginia with Rev. Clarence Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Gilbert Family Cemetery on Stinson Ridge near Jewell Ridge, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Robert Gilbert, Larry Gilbert, Richard Gilbert, Thomas Gilbert, Ricky Lamb, and Shawne Altizer. Herman Harold Gilbert will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Friends may call at the home of the deceased after 5:00 p.m. Sunday. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
