Linda Ratcliffe

Linda Louise Ratcliffe, age 60, of Jewell Ridge, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, in a Winston-Salem, North Carolina hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of Sylvia Faye Vencill Davis Neal of Cedar Bluff, Virginia and the late Cecil L. Davis. Linda was a graduate of the Richlands High School Class of 1968. She worked for many years at Wimpy’s Restaurant, as a seamstress at Eastern Isles, the U.S, Postal Service, and at Bobbie Hale’s State Farm Insurance Office. She was a devoted member of the Jewell Ridge Presbyterian Church and was a faithful member of the choir and served as treasurer for the Women of the Church Group. Linda was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and a dear friend to many, she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving family: Her husband, W. Kenneth Ratcliffe of Jewell Ridge, VA Her daughters: Kendra Ratcliffe Belcher of Jewell Ridge, VA Kelli Ratcliffe Charles and husband, Steven of Charlotte, VA Sisters: Teresa Davis Strouth of Richlands, VA Marquetta Richardson and husband, Mike of Jewell Ridge, VA Kim Davis of Cedar Bluff, VA Brothers: Steve Davis and wife carol of Richlands, VA Sidney Davis and wife Arlene of Bandy, VA Grandchildren: Andrew Belcher, Simon Belcher, Luke Belcher, Emma Belcher and Isaiah Belcher also survive her along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and a host of family of friends Funeral services for Linda Louise Ratcliffe will be conducted at 7:30pm on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Shirley Keene officiating. Interment will be on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 11:00am at the Ratcliffe Family Cemetery at Jewell Ridge, Virginia. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Rev. Richard P. Stone, Tom Short, Julian Jenelle and John Otis Altizer. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to time of service at 7:30 pm on Saturday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
