Lloyd Campbell Buskill

Lloyd Campbell Buskill, age 67 of Richlands, Virginia was surrounded by his loving family as he drew his last breath on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 following a lengthy illness. He was born August 24, 1947 in Richlands, Virginia to the late Lloyd Chester and Gertrude Elizabeth Lowe Buskill. He was a graduate of Richlands High School and he served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam era. He worked as a welder for most of his life and was attending the City on the Hill Church. He was a lifelong resident of Richlands. Those who remain to carry on his spirit are: His loving wife, Shirley Newberry Buskill of Richlands, VA His Daughters: Cynthia Allen and husband, Clifford of Pounding Mill, VA Marie Miller and husband, Dean of Richlands, VA His sons; Sherman Newberry of Tazewell, VA Jimmy Lowe and wife, Tammie of Stafford, VA Sisters: Barbara Buskill of Richlands, VA Anita Sargent of Richlands, VA Brother, Larry Buskill of Roanoke, VA Nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive along with his canine companion, Missy and a host of family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of MSA Hospice (Total Home Care) and nurse Paula Slate. Funeral services for Lloyd Campbell Buskill will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Pastor Barry Absher officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Wallace Johnson, Joe Newberry, Jr., Tom Thacker, John White, “Rooster” Steven Miller and Wayne David Newberry. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the members of the Casey Shortt VFW Post 9640. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -9:00 pm on Friday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
