Lottie Mae Brown

Lottie Mae Brown, age 82, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at a Richlands, Virginia hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Earl William Hubbard and Lena Norman Hubbard. She was a lifelong resident of the Richlands area and was a retired LPN from the Clinch Valley Medical Center and had worked at the Mattie Williams Hospital, having been a nurse for close to 30 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Jackson; second husband, Russell Brown; and sisters, Evelyn Pauline Phipps and Lucy Ann Cyphers. Survivors are: Daughters: Karen Jackson of Columbus, Ohio Tonya Watson and Roderick Hess of Richlands, Virginia Kathy Johnson and husband, Greg of Cana, Virginia Sons: Roger Jackson of Richlands, Virginia Claude Jackson, Jr. and wife, Linda of Red Ash, Virginia David Jackson of Lynchburg, Virginia Steve Jackson of Crown Point, Indiana Nieces and Nephews: John Phipps and wife, Dawna of Midland, Virginia; Larry Cyphers and wife, Angela of Makanda, Illinois; Johnny Cyphers of Waxhaw, NC; and Tasha Looney and husband, Gary of W. Melbourne, FL Grandchildren: Joshua Watson, Jonathan Wallace, Andrea Jackson, Amanda Mitchell, Chloe Jackson, and Isbella Jackson Four Great Grandchildren also survive. Special thanks to: Dr. Jamal Sahyouni and Staff; Dr Sami Jawad and Richlands Pulmonary and Breathing Center; and Staff and Nurses of Interim Health Care; and the 2nd and 5th Floor Nursing Staff and the 2nd floor ICU Nursing Staff of the Clinch Valley Medical Center. Funeral services for Lottie Mae Brown will be conducted Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:00am at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. David Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Rick Fitzgerald, Doug Hess, Joshua Watson, Jonathan Wallace, Roderick Hess, Johnny Cyphers, Larry Cyphers, and Claude Jackson, Jr. Friends may visit from 10am until 11am Monday prior to the service.
