Mary Crawford Singleton

Mary Ann Crawford Singleton, 37, of Richlands, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in Richlands, Virginia. She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of Paul and Linda Cole Crawford, both of Richlands, Virginia. She was a graduate of Richlands High School Class of 1988 and received her Bachelors degree from Bluefield College and Masters degree from Liberty University. She was a former teacher and was a member of the Reynolds Ridge Community Church. She was a lifelong resident of the area and she will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jess and Edith Crawford; her great grandparents, Rufus and Rachel Whited; her maternal grandfather, Curtis Cole; and uncle, Thomas Cole. Survivors, in addition to her parents, are Fiancee, Jeffrey Ball of Richlands, Virginia Daughters Madison Blaire Singleton of Johnson City, Tennessee Laurann Brooke Singleton of Blacksburg, Virginia Sister Teri Brown and husband, Richard of Richlands, Virginia Nephews Hunter Brown, Landon Brown, and Spencer Brown Maternal Grandmother, Dorothy Cole of Reynolds Ridge, Virginia Canine companion, Lilly Many cousins, friends, family, and special friends of the Richlands High School Class of 1988 also survive. Funeral services for Mary Ann Singleton will be conducted at 2:00pm, Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Craig Barber and Rev. Lonnie Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Reynolds Ridge Community Church Cemetery on Reynolds Ridge near Jewell Ridge, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Jess (Bud) Crawford, Donnie Cole, Eddie Ray Sams, Paul Cole, Chad Cole, Thomas Lester, William Scott Effler, Curtis Dunford, Chris Dunford, David Cole, Bradley Cole, Hunter Brown, and Craig Chadwell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lawrence Effler, Sonny Crawford, Fred Christian, and Oscar Dailey. The family will receive friends at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia from 6:00pm until 9:00pm Saturday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in the form of donations to Reynolds Ridge Community Church and the Tri-County Health Clinic.
