Media Estep Noon

Media Estep Noon, age 83 of Tazewell, VA formerly of Jolo, WV and Squire, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Randolph Health Hospital in Asheboro, NC due to an extended illness while visiting her family. She was born August 13, 1934 at Paynesville, WV and was a daughter of the late Carlos and Linnie Roberts Estep. Media was a talented seamstress, designing and making clothing for herself and others. She loved crocheting and gifted many people with the crocheted items she had made. She enjoyed working with flowers and kept many household plants in her home. Media enjoyed watching the news and preaching programs on the television. For many years Mrs. Noon had hosted her own television broadcast on the New Beginning Television Network, where she depended much on her friend, Connie Shrader who ran the camera for her and encouraged her, making sure she looked good on film. Media loved to talk about the Lord and the goodness of God’s love; she tried to reach out to everyone with the message of salvation. She enjoyed singing songs that would bring God honor and glory. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Noon; two sisters, Missouri Estep Davis and Chloe Estep Lester; four brothers, William, Harvey, Walter, Arthur and J.C. Estep; two grandsons, William R. “Billy” Hicks and James H. “Jimmy” Payne, IV. Those who survive to cherish her memories include two daughters, Eulah Hubbard of Jolo, WV and Ethel Cain of Princeton, WV; two sons, Pastor Carl “Roger” Hicks and wife, Dorothy of Squire, WV and Evangelist Carlos Hicks and wife, Elizabeth of Sophia, NC; three wonderful step-children, Linda Noon Stafford and husband, Kenny of Hotchkiss, WV, Tommy Noon and wife, Connie of Ronda, NC and Patty Noon of Jolo, WV; one sister, Sylvia Estep Blankenship or Silver Lake, IN; one brother, Albert Dean Estep and wife, Bernice of Stony Point, NC; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Dorothy Head, Jean Laney and Joe Belcher; many other family members and friends whom she loved, but are too numerous to mention, especially her many friends at the New Beginning Television Network. The family will receive friends at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA from 6 – 7 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2018 where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Brother Buddy Jewell officiating. On Tuesday, May 22, 2018 Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. at the Mary Lou Old Regular Baptist Church on Stateline Ridge Road, VA near Paynesville, WV with Elder Philip Estep officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until the service hour. Burial will follow at the Jonce Estep Cemetery on Estep Ridge Road in Paynesville, WV. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
