Millard Rapp

Mr. Millard "Buss" Rapp age 84, of Abingdon, Va. formerly of Bradshaw, West Virginia went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 11, 2005 at his home following a lengthy illness. Born in Yukon, West Virginia he was a son of the late Carl and Mae Spence Rapp both Bradshaw, West Virginia natives. He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran. He was a self-employed Mechanic and a member of United Methodist Church in Bradshaw, West Virginia and a member of the American Legion Post #175 of Bradshaw, West Virginia. He attended the Holston Valley Baptist Church in Abingdon, Virginia. He was a lifelong resident of Bradshaw, West Virginia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: One Son: Jeffrey Keith Rapp, One Grandson: Christopher Joseph Rapp and one Sister: Daisy Mae Payne. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family Survivors are: His Wife: Nola Faye Mullins Rapp of Abingdon, Virginia Son: Dr. Carl Steven Rapp and wife, Mary of Abingdon, Virginia Nieces: Ginger Harris and husband, G.T. of Richlands, Virginia Shirley Hammond and husband, Jim of Richlands, Virginia Sarita Mullins and husband, Johnny of Abingdon, Virginia Linsey McGlothlin of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Nephews: Darrell Wimmer of Watseka, Illinois Harold Wimmer and wife, Rita of Claypool Hill, Virginia Billy Wimmer and wife, Valentine of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Grandson: Steven Matthew Rapp of Abingdon, Virginia Former Daughter-In-Law: Connie Riffe and Son, Jeffrey of Bradshaw, West Virginia Special Sister-In-Law: Lola Mae Wimmer and husband Bill of Whitewood, Virginia Cousin: Viola Johnson and several Great Nephews also survive Special Caregivers: Roby, Connie, Theresa and John and Amendysis Home Hospice Care Funeral Services for Mr. Millard "Buss" Rapp will be conducted Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Kelly Stevenson and the Rev. John Kiser officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Members of the American Legion Post # 175 of Bradshaw, West Virginia will conduct Military Graveside Rites. Friends may call at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia on Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m.
