Narcie Ellen Moore Dye, age 98, of Swords Creek, VA, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at her home. Narcie was born on April 27, 1922 in Swords Creek, VA and was the daughter of the late William and Rosie Miller Moore of Swords Creek, VA. She had worked in several restaurants in the area. Narcie had lived in the Swords Creek area all her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Dye; and two sons-in-law, Joseph Tabb and Fred Blankenship. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by: Her Daughters: Patricia Tabb of Denver, CO Bonita Lawson and husband, Arthur of Swords Creek, VA Mary Lynn Blankenship of Swords Creek, VA Sons: Bobby Joe Dye and wife, Judy of Low Gap, N.C. Bill Dye and wife, Robin of Swords Creek, VA Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services for Narcie Ellen Moore Dye will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, VA with the Rev. Barry Jesse and Rev. Dennis White officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be Rick Ferrell, Mike Wingo, Brandon Dye, Brennan Dye, James Blankenship, Evan Blankenship, Todd Blankenship, and Eva Brooke Dye. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Jesse, Smiley Wicks, Delmar Wicks, Joey Dye, Russell Dye, Tim Hodges, Michael Hodges, Tony Hodges, Jody Tabb, and Neil Lawson.
