Norma Viney "Tommy" Keen Vance

Norma Viney “Tommy” Keen Vance, age 74, of Red Ash, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on May 12, 1946 in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Marvin and Iler Bibey Keen. Norma was a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of the Bible Way Church in Jesus Name for over 40 years. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Andrew Daniel Vance; son, Gill Matthew Vance; granddaughter, whom she raised as her own, Rachel Stevens Vance; stepchildren, Shelby Wicks and Stuart Vance; brothers, Paul, Leslie, Framen, Franklin, and Shirl Keen; and two sisters, Okey Keen and Rinda Osborne. Those left to cherish her memory: Daughter: Victoria and Alvie of Richlands, Virginia Son: Phillip Vance and wife, Virginia “Peewee” of Richlands, Virginia Sisters: Pauline Peery of Rural Retreat, Virginia Doris Grimmett of Claypool Hill, Virginia Beulah Arrington of Wardell, Virginia Grandchildren: Ashley Mitchell, Raymond “Bub” Vance, Jantana Stevens, Keithie Stevens, Michelle Rasnake Great-Grandchildren: Andrew Joyce, Weston Mitchell, Ava Mitchell, Lane Vance, Easton Vance, Summer Hart, Jayden Ball, Liam Stevens, and Landon Stevens Stepdaughters: Dorothy Martin and husband, Caleb of Belfast, Virginia Linda K. Phillips and husband, Johnny of Tazewell, Virginia Special Thanks and Deepest Gratitude to the nurses and staff of Legacy Hospice. Funeral services for Norma Viney “Tommy” Keen Vance will be conducted Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Dannie Short officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Raymond “Bub” Vance, Stevie Mitchell, Joe “Sporty” Keen, Frank Baer, Andrew Joyce, Lane Vance, and Adam Keen. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jantana Stevens and Ashley Mitchell.
