Ollie Bell Watson Rowe

Ollie Bell Rowe, age 69, of Richlands, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Walter and Dialpha Spencer Watson. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ollie was queen of the biscuit makers and had worked for many years at the V&V Restaurant until her illness became disabling. Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved to spend time with her grandkids. Ollie enjoyed working outside and doing yard work and was well known for always lending a hand to help others. She was a member of the Cliffield Church of Christ Church and had spent most of her life in the Tazewell County area. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Americus Gee Rowe; sisters, Louise Dotson and Ruth Hollspock; Brothers, Gene David Watson and Rodney Watson. Those who remain to carry on her spirit are: Her Daughters: Donna Jean Edwards and husband, Joe of Lebanon, VA Audrey Delores Trusty and husband, Billy of Richlands, VA Dialpha Denise Barber and husband, John of Wilmington, NC Son: Kenneth James Rowe and wife, Kathleen of Brown Mountain, VA Sisters: Margaret Matney of Grundy, VA Shelby Varney of TN Janet Thacker of NC Brothers: Jimmy Watson of Belfry, KY Ronnie Watson of Pikeville, KY Michael Watson of Belfry, KY Richard Watson of Belfry, KY Gary Watson of Pikeville, KY Eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and host of family and friends also survive. Funeral services for Ollie Bell Rowe will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with Brother Kenneth Byrd and Bobby Yates officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be her brothers and grandsons. Visitation will be on Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6-9 pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
