Patsy Simons

Patsy Louise Simons, 57, of North Tazewell, Virginia was called home to be with the Lord, and she answered on November 8, 2007 in a Bluefield, WV hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Henry Edward and Edna Louise Totten Nipper, both former Tazewell County, Virginia natives. Patsy was a special person, not only to her family but to all who knew her. She loved the Lord, her family, and especially her precious grandchildren. She loved to be near the Lord's beauty and was so proud to grow beautiful Roses. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bill Howery. Survivors are Her loving husband of 43 years, John H. Simons Daughters Wanda Sue Hess and husband, Rick of North Tazewell, Virginia Samantha Diane Harry and husband, Steven of Rural Retreat, Virginia Sisters Wilma Isabelle Mullins and husband, Joe of Rocky Gap, Virginia Jeanie Howery and late husband, Bill of Tazewell, Virginia Brothers Ray Nipper and wife, Connie of Springville, Virginia Earl White and wife, Nina of Bluefield, Virginia David Nipper and wife, Frances of Bob White, West Virginia Harvey Nipper and wife, Donna of Hickory, North Carolina Her precious grandchildren, Summer Alicia Hess, Autumn Brooke Hess, and Andrew Kendall Harry. Special Niece, Maggie Pruitt and husband, Donny of Tazewell, Virginia Several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. Funeral services for Patsy Simons will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday, November 11, 2007 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Virginia with the Rev. Danny Cornwell officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Terry Price, Stanley Cox, Jimmy McGuire, David Ritter, Kelvin Matney, and Hubert Horn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Nipper, Earl White, David Nipper, and Harvey Nipper. The family will receive friends at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Tazewell, Virginia from 6:00 until 9:00pm Saturday evening.
