Pauline Cole Keene Casey

Pauline Cole Keene Casey, age 82, of Jewell Ridge, VA, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Pauline was born January 15, 1943, in Whitewood, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Claude S. Cole and Ava Dell Salyers Cole. After graduating high school, she attended the Bluefield College of Business where she received an associate degree in business management. Pauline later obtained her realtor license and became the owner and operator of R & R Realty. Pauline was also a former board member of Southwest Virginia Community College. Pauline was of the Christian faith and had a very cheerful disposition. She was a people person, she never met a stranger and always had a smile for everyone. Pauline loved spending time with her children and grandchildren; they brought her great joy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold L. Keene; her second husband, Robert “Bob” Casey; sister, Janice Quick; brother, Clay Cole; and sister-in-law, Rita Cole. Those who remain to carry on her spirit are: Her Daughters: Shelia Maxwell and her husband, Terry of Whitewood, VA Melisa Goodman and her husband, Ricky of Whitewood, VA Step-Children: Brian Casey and his wife, Sherry of Claypool Hill, VA Kathy Hypes and her husband, Buddy of Tazewell, VA Chad Casey of Paintlick, VA Sisters: Lorene Huffman Robinson of Richlands, VA Kathleen Green and her husband, Larry of Charlotte, NC Patty Sue Quick and her husband Russ of Bristol, VA Wanda Lowe and her husband, Danny of Richlands, VA Brother, Claude“Dick” Cole, Jr of Pounding Mill, VA Brother-in-law, Clyde Quick Grandchildren: Samuel Harold Kent Goodman and his wife, Ashley of Rosedale, VA Brittany Leigh Ellington and her husband, Dusty of Farmville, VA Kala Lauren Goodman of Whitewood, VA Emily Mashae Maxwell-Hobbs and her husband, Daniel of Danville, VA Kara Nicole Goodman and her fiancé, Eli Rawls of Denver, CO Great-grandchildren: Camdyn Goodman, Cole Goodman, Carsyn Goodman, Landrie Hobbs, Max Hobbs, Cole Ellington, Millie Ellington, and Marleigh Ellington. Step-grandchildren: Jeffrey Osborne, Jason Osborne, Garrett Kiser, Meagan Casey, and Caleb Casey Several nieces, nephews, and step-great grandkids also survive along with a host of family and friends. Funeral services for Pauline Cole Keen Casey will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia, with the Rev. Clyde Wimmer officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at noon until the time of the service.
