Pauline Dollie Plaster

Pauline Dollie Plaster, age 87, of Raven, Virginia, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, March 15, 2013 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Russell County Virginia and was the daughter of the late, Charles Preston and Mary Frances Horton Green. Pauline worked as a volunteer at the Clinch valley Hospital for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family. She was a member of the Clearview United Methodist Church and the Richlands Order of the Eastern Star # 104. Pauline was a lifelong resident of the area and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jennings Plaster; daughter, Carol Lee Farley; son, Michael Jennings Plaster; two sisters, Emily Wells and Velma Lawson; six brothers, Raleigh, Hershel, Harman, Willard, Donald, and Andrew Green. She is survived by: Her grandchildren: Danielle Compton and husband Scott of Richlands, Virginia Kevin Farley and wife Tracy of Raven, Virginia Her great-grandchildren: Kayla Brook Compton, Corey Scott Compton, Jace Jennings Farley and Ava Lee Ruth Farley. Special Neighbors Johnnie and Brenda Davis also survive her along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services for Pauline Dollie Plaster will be conducted at 2:00pm on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. James Brooks and Rev. Paul Goshorn officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Corey S. Compton, Doug Wells, Bob Elkins, Randy Vernon, Charlie Davis, Logan Harman and Joe Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Wells, John Wells, John Davis, Vernie Miller, and Rick Vernon. Family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 pm on Sunday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia. Members of the Richlands Order of the Eastern Star #104 will conduct services Sunday at 7:00pm.
