Phyllis Anne Williamson

Phyllis Ann Williamson, 86, of, Raven, VA, entered her eternal rest Thursday, August 6, 2026. She was born November 3, 1939, in Raven, VA, to the late Charlie Salyers and Stella Beatrice Green Salyers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bernard Salyers, James Andrew Salyers, and Charles Emory Salyers, brothers-in-laws, Frank Sims and E.J. Hagy, sisters-in-law Canny Salyers, Gaynelle Salyers, and Luvonne Salyers, and nephew, Bryon Salyers. Phyllis was a woman of Christian faith and a lifelong member of Road Ridge Assembly of God Church where she played the piano. She worked for many years at the Beatrice and Buchanan 1 coal mines in Buchanan County as a mine clerk. After retiring, she realized her lifelong passion for art and became a renowned watercolor artist. Her art was displayed and won ribbons in several regional art shows. In her later years, she devoted her time to her family and church. Those left to honor her memory are her sisters, Carol Sims and Jo Hagy, brothers Ben Salyers, daughter Patricia Ball and husband Danny Ball, son Jeffrey Lane, Stepsons Jeffrey Williams and wife Karen, Gregory Williamson and wife Amy, and Joel Williamson and wife Jennifer, grandson Allen Ball, step granddaughters Meridith, Arden, and Maisie, step grandsons Cooper and Keegan, nieces Lana Sims Jones and husband Greg, Suzette Sims, Chris Allen and husband David, Theresa Taylor and husband Daniel, Deneim Salyers Brown and husband Jeff, and Jill Salyers Fields, nephews Michael Salyers and wife Angie, Tim Salyers and wife Aleshia, Mark Salyers, and Zane Hagy and wife Kira, great nieces Gabriel Salyers Arnold, Sarah East, Whitney Graham, Berkely Fields, Sarah Brown, Alli Brown, Noelle Salyers, Danae Salyers, and Nicole Salyers, great nephews John Sims Jones, Shane Salyers, Zach Salyers, Charles Salyers, Joshua Davis , Ryan Brown, and Tyler Fields, sister-in-law Lois Salyers, and niece by marriage Cheryl Vandyke Salyers. The family would like to thank her oncology care team and Dr. Faddy Tawardos and nurse Logan Marshall especially. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Lane, Tim Salyers, Zane Hagy (insert more). Honorary pallbearers are Danny Ball, Allen Ball, and Joshua Davis. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 2pm at Road Ridge Assembly of God, 3184 Road Ridge Tpke, Raven, Virginia 24639 with the Reverend Greg Jones will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Road Ridge Assembly of God Cemtery. Pallbearers will be: Jeffrey Lane, Zane Hagy, Tim Salyers, and Dale Salyers. Friends may visit with the family from 1pm until 2pm at the church on Sunday prior to the funeral.
