Pinkie Mae Killen, age 94, of Richlands, VA, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN. Ms. Killen was born in Buchanan County, VA and was the daughter of the late Oliver and Martha Brown Hess. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivory Killen; one sister, Jettie M. Jones; one brother, Grady Hess; two grandsons, David Pierce Helbert and Daniel LeRoy Helbert. She is survived by: Daughter: Anna Ruth Killen Helbert of Richlands, VA Two Sons: Franklin Charles Killen and wife, Brenda of Richmond, VA Ronald Wayne Killen and wife, Pamela of Richlands, VA Seven Grandchildren: Sheree Annette Reynolds and husband, Junior of Richlands, VA Raymond Keith Helbert and wife, Pam of Richlands, VA Tamara Gayle Helbert of Richlands, VA Angela Paulette Downing and husband, Andy Nicholas Ivan Killen and wife, Brittany Rochelle Elaine Killen Branton and husband, Tim Wesley Bryan Killen Eleven Great Grandchildren: Phillip Gregory Reynolds and wife, Sarah; Jennifer Reedy and husband, Adam; Kimberly R. Karen Reynolds; Katy Elswick and husband, Freddie; Eli J. Keith Helbert and wife, Nicole; Stephanie Nicole Helbert, Kayla Helbert, Derek Wayne Meadows, Brianna Elaine Meadows, Danielle Downing, Andrew Downing, Tyler Branton, and Tanah Lester. A host of family and friends also survive. The funeral service for Pinkie Mae Killen will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Rick Whitt officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be: Eli Helbert, Bryan Killen, Nicholas Killen, Greg Reynolds, Derek Meadows, and Tim Branton. Honorary pallbearers will be: John L. Honaker, Roby Perry, Phillip “Jr.” Reynolds and Richard Short. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
