Ralph Bernard Wyatt Jr.

Ralph Bernard Wyatt, Jr., age 66 fell into the loving arms of his heavenly father on January 22, 2016 at his home with his wife and children. He was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the son of the late, Ralph and Ruth Null Wyatt. As an adult he worked in the coalmines. The family moved to Newport News in 1984. For 32 years he worked for Dominion Terminal Associates as an electrician, until his fight with cancer lead him to retire his position as Electrical Supervisor. AT the age of 18, Ralph gave his heart to the Lord and lived a strong Christ-like faith from then on, never wavering. He exemplified what it means to be a Christian, walking in humility, serving others, full of grace and inspiring all he encountered with the joy of the Lord. He served as a Pastor, Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Ralph and Sue were active members of Victory Church in Poquoson, VA. He enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren, also spent time traveling and riding his Harley motorcycle. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Wyatt Meadows. Those left to cherish his memory are: His loving wife of 46 years, Sandra Sue Settle Wyatt of Yorktown, VA Sons: Johathan David Wyatt and wife, Debbie (Lotz) Wyatt of Nashville, TN Bernard Kelly Wyatt and wife Jennifer (Stump) Wyatt of Colombia SC Daughter, Jenifer Leigh Wyatt-Doty of Memphis, TN Grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Dakota, Zachary, Montana, Delaney, Gabriel, Devin and Ashleigh Sisters, Linda Thacker and Teresa Keene also survive along with many loving family members and friends. The funeral service for Ralph Bernard Wyatt, Jr., will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Mike Altizer and Rev. Les Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will be held, Friday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home. Ralph was a man of strong faith, believing in the power of strength of Jesus Christ’s Love and the beauty and peace that would await him after his passing.
