Ramona Martin

Ms. Ramona G. Martin, age 76 of Richlands, Virginia was surrounded by her family at a Richlands area hospital as she went to be with Lord on January 17, 2007 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Addison-Clark and the late Lou Davis Hicks Atkins. She was a Homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God, of Richlands, Virginia and many people relied on to be their prayer warrior, she was a lifetime resident of the Richlands area.. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Noah Thomas Martin: son, Gary Lynn Martin; one granddaughter, Jimmette Leigh Martin; and stepfather, George Atkins. Those surviving her are: Three Daughters: Nancy Katherine Griffith and husband Sam of Cedar Park, Texas Margaret Ellen Rowlett and husband Glenn R. of Wardell, Virginia Rita Louise Perry and husband Ira of Richlands, Virginia Two Sons: James H. Martin of Richlands, Virginia Thomas E. Martin and wife Barbara of Pounding Mill, Virginia Sister, Brenda Kinder of Richlands, Virginia Three Brothers: Raymond Hicks of Atlanta, Georgia Michael Atkins of Richlands, Virginia Bob Clark of Ohio Six grandchildren, Sam Griffith, Jr., Tony Rowlett, Sharrone Horn, Jessica Lynn Martin, Noah James Martin, and Alex Martin; five great-grandchildren and her special friend Carrington, also survive her. Funeral Services for Ramona G. Martin will be held Sunday, January 21, 2007 at 2:00pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Rusty Ward officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Michael Hankins, Wayne Hankins, Noah James Martin, Alex Martin, Tony Rowlett and Isreal Bucklin. Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Lowe, Eugene Smith, Bob Reynolds, Ken Dye, Larry Roberts, and J.W. Martin.
