Robert Price

Mr. Robert David Price, age 66, of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Tazewell, Virginia and was the son of the late Hubert and Winnie Grimsley Price. He had made his home in the Abingdon, Virginia area for the past four years and was a retired Chief Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force and was retired from the Central Intelligence Agency. He was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was a graduate of Richlands High School Class of 1960 and a college degree from Southwest Illinois College. He was a member of Abingdon Bible Church in Abingdon, Virginia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Ruth Price; and four sisters, Jean Burress, Lois Joyner, Sue Maples, and Pat Ruiz. Survivors are: His Wife: Margaret O’Mailey Price Two Sons: Garry Price and wife, Susan of Manassas, Virginia Charlie Price and wife, Pam of Elkview, West Virginia Four Sisters: Jo Clark and husband, Fred of Woodbridge, Virginia Anne Sayers of Pensacola, Florida Ruth Overton and husband, Richard of Lamarque, Texas Sandy McCoy and husband, Earl Woodbridge, Virginia Two Brothers: Garry E. Price and wife, Shelia of Manassas, Virginia Richard Price of Woodbridge, Virginia Five Grandchildren: Tristen Price, Rebecca Price, Garrett Price, Leara Price, Patrick Price also survive Funeral services for Robert David Price will be conducted Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 1:00pm at the Abingdon Bible Church in Abingdon, Virginia with the Rev. Greg Alderman officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Garry E. Price, Richard Price, Jullian Jennelle, Garry Price, Charlie Price, and Mark Godbey. Friends may call after 6:00pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia Friday evening and at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Smile Train Charity.
