Shane Alan Davis

Shane Alan Davis, age 64, of Paint Lick, VA, passed away peacefully in the home on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024. Shane was born in Baltimore, MD on December 6, 1959, to the late Lawrence “Dave” Davis and Sherry Hubbard Davis. After being raised in Baltimore, Shane enlisted in the Navy shortly after marrying the love of his life, Terri. Over the years, his Navy stories were fond memories for him that he spoke of over many campfires and get togethers with family and friends. In 1981, Shane and Terri, moved to the Richlands, VA area to raise their growing family. Shane became a career-long insurance professional and successfully ran his own business. Shane found great pride and joy in his children, their spouses, and five grandchildren. Poppy, as he was so affectionately known by his grandchildren, loved to ride motorcycles. His favorite place in the world was on a motorcycle with his wife, “Mimmi” embarking on their many adventures. Their favorite places to visit were Gatlinburg, TN, and Cherokee, NC, where they loved to ride and spend long weekends going to shows and casinos. Shane was also a proud self-proclaimed “king of the grill” always loving to cook for family and friends. Shane was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years. Theresa Ann (Terri) Davis, his parents, Dave and Sherry Davis; and two nephews, Tony Davis and Kenny Davis, Jr. Shane is survived by his daughter, Tonya Coleman and husband, Don of Wilkesboro, NC; son, Lance Davis and wife, Amanda of Cedar Bluff, VA; five grandchildren, Tyler and Maya Coleman of Wilkesboro, NC; Blade, Phenix, and Chance Rose of Cedar Bluff, VA; brother, Kenny Davis and wife, Cheryl of Wake Forest, NC; and nephews, Jake, Cody, and Shannon Davis. Also surviving are many family members and friends he loved so much. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered and celebrated. As per his wishes, an intimate celebration of life is currently being planned at a later date.
