Anna Ruth Lester

Anna Ruth Keen Lester, age 59, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019 at her home following a brief illness. She was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the daughter of the late John Richard and Kansas Dovie Coxton Keen. She had made her home in the Richlands area all of her life and was a former health care assistant for Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lester, Jr.; son, Anthony Lester; sister, Ollie Mae Brown; and brothers, Harold Smith, Dennis Edward Keen, Bobby Lee Keen, and Carlos Keen. Survivors are: Daughters: Sherry Ann Casey and husband, Clayton of Richlands, Virginia Diana Renee Cruey and husband, David of Richlands, Virginia Sons: Jason Scott Lester and companion, Paula of Richlands, Virginia Jamie Eric Lester and companion, Melissa of Richlands, Virginia Sisters: Charlene Brown and husband, Andy of Raven, Virginia Brenda Dotson of Richlands, Virginia Nancy Lester and husband, Steve of Richlands, Virginia Brother: Richard Wayne Keen and wife, Ann of Shortts Gap, Virginia Grandchildren: Keisha Smith, Kelly Nicole Smith, Bobby Lee Smith, Jr., Clayton Casey, and Colton Casey Great Grandchildren: Christopher Woodard, Thomas Smith, and Ariel Smith Special Friend of 35 years, Judy Justus; Special Friends, Harold Dean Thomas and Wanda Mullins Special Nephew: Bobby Lee Keen, II Host of friends and family at Janice’s Place Several other nieces and nephews also survive Funeral services for Anna Ruth Keen Lester will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 1pm with the Rev. Mike Justus officiating. Friends may call after 6pm on Monday evening where services will be held with Rev. Bobby and Shelia Stanley and Rev. James and Pam Dye officiating.
