Anna Ruth Wilson Hamm

Anna Ruth Wilson Hamm, 86, passed away May 22, 2022 in Niceville FL. She was born in Richlands, VA to the late Joseph Henry and Cosby Mae (Beavers) Wilson of Cedar Bluff, VA. She was of the Christian faith. She had made her home in Niceville and was a proud military spouse. She retired from the Gulfarium after 22 years where she had been manager of the gift shop. After retirement, she traveled in her motorhome having adventures from living and working at the Grand Canyon to Mackinaw Island. Annually she stayed at an RV resort in California where she was a member of a clogging group that performed at hospitals. During the Fall, she was a volunteer lighthouse keeper in Michigan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Robert Edward Hamm; companion Richard Gibelyou, two brothers (Willie Wilson and Jack Wilson), five sisters (Susie Owens, Vernie Brewster, Nelle Williamson, Catherine Mangus, and Rosie Lee Skeens), and son-in-law Michael John King. Survivors: two daughters: Mrs. John-Mark (Debra Lynn) Roberts of Capitain, NM and Mrs. Michael (Carol Ann) King of Niceville FL; three grandsons: Timothy Ian Roberts, wife Ashley, and three children (Fiona Lynn, Wesley Ian, and Evangeline Grace) of Alto, NM; Robert William Roberts, wife Caitlin, and two children (Sailor Catherine and Reid Ellis) of Winthrop, ME; and Ivan Maxwell Orion King of Niceville, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. In accordance with Mrs, Hamm’s wishes, there will be no formal memorial services. The family will, however, have an informal Celebration of Life during a family reunion on June 11, 2022. Her ashes will be interred at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill VA on June 13, 2022.
